HUNTER WILLIAMSON | HAWK | THE GREAT WAR

Hunter Hawk Williamson's origins are a tapestry of shattered memories, clandestine experiments, and survival against forces beyond comprehension. Before becoming an operative under Project Genesis, Hawk was a decorated marksman embedded within an elite paramilitary division, deployed for high-risk recon in hostile territories. His exceptional precision and uncanny ability to anticipate enemy movements earned him the moniker "Hawk," a name that stuck even after his past was fractured.

His fate took a sharp turn during a classified operation on the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Hawk's team had been tracking a rogue division of scientists experimenting with void energy transference—an anomaly capable of warping space and distorting reality itself. The mission’s briefing had warned of instability, but the severity was underestimated. When Hawk breached the facility, he encountered a shimmering rift—a void bridge pulsing with unnatural energy. The ensuing implosion tore through time and space, swallowing him whole.

He resurfaced weeks later, recovered from the wreckage by a Russian retrieval team but with no recollection of his identity. His mind, stripped of context, retained only fragments—flashes of a battlefield, voices issuing orders, and an overwhelming sensation of drifting between life and death. Recognizing his latent combat instincts, Colonel Gerald Cross and Dr. Walter Davenport of Project Genesis took him into their custody, repurposing him as a precision asset against an emergent enemy: the Revenant threat.

Though his amnesia left him unmoored, the void energy that had engulfed him also imbued him with an unnatural connection to revenant forces. He could manipulate fallen soldiers, briefly reanimate their husks, and sever enemy command signals—a power he both feared and relied upon. His Tech Burst Pistols were designed to channel this energy efficiently, amplifying his control over reanimated units in combat.

Hawk’s growing involvement with the Genesis team led him to the Revenant Tower operation, where the echoes of his past collided with the present. His connection to void energy was instrumental in disrupting enemy forces, yet every encounter deepened his unease, stirring echoes of his lost life. The tower’s cybernetic commander hinted at knowledge beyond what was documented—at truths Hawk had once known but could no longer access.
